Here is a small inefficiency that adds up to real time over a year: the patient comes into the exam room, the vet tech walks them to the scale in the hallway, weighs them, walks them back, lifts them onto the exam table, does the appointment, lifts them back down, and reverses the whole sequence when the visit is over. Multiply that by twenty appointments a day and you are looking at forty extra patient transfers, forty extra hallway trips, and a lot of anxious animals getting handled more than they need to be. The AM-P7 eliminates that dance entirely by putting the scale where the exam already happens.

This is a combined weighing and treatment table — one surface, two functions, zero wasted steps. The digital scale is integrated directly into the tabletop during manufacturing, not bolted on underneath as a retrofit. The display is mounted at the edge of the table where the clinician can read it without crouching, craning their neck, or interrupting the flow of the exam. Accuracy is within 100 grams, which is tight enough for precise drug dosing — and if you are calculating chemotherapy agents, insulin doses, or anesthetic induction drugs, you already know why tenths of a kilogram matter. The scale tares with a single button, so you can zero out a non-slip mat or a towel and get a clean weight on the patient without mental math.

The table surface is stainless steel — seamless, non-porous, and rated for the kind of clinical use that goes beyond weighing. You can perform a full physical exam on this surface. You can draw blood, express a bladder, clean and bandage a wound, collect a cytology sample. The surface handles all of it and cleans up completely between patients with standard disinfectants. Nothing absorbs, nothing stains, nothing lingers. The electric lift supports 49 kilograms, which covers the vast majority of dogs and cats seen in a typical exam room, and the height range of 48 to 98 centimeters lets the clinician work at a comfortable standing or seated position depending on the procedure and the patient.

Weight tracking is one of those clinical data points that every practice agrees is important and almost nobody does consistently because the workflow is inconvenient. When the scale is the exam table, it becomes automatic — every patient gets weighed at every visit because there is no extra step to remember or skip. For practices monitoring weight loss in obese patients, tracking growth curves in puppies and kittens, managing chronic conditions like cardiac disease or CKD where weight change is a key clinical indicator, or simply wanting accurate anesthetic dosing on every surgical candidate, that consistent data stream is more clinically valuable than a high-precision scale that only gets used half the time because it lives in the hallway.

I designed the P7 for the exam room workflow, not the surgery suite. It is a clinic workhorse that saves time, reduces patient handling stress, and captures better data with less effort — the kind of improvement that shows up in your team’s morale and your medical records more than in your equipment budget line.
