When a dentist drives two hours to visit our showroom in Shanghai and sits down in the AM-6600, the reaction is usually the same: they recline the chair, move the delivery system around, adjust the light, and then they stop and say “okay, this is different.” It’s not one feature that does it—it’s the cumulative feel of everything working together without friction. The chair moves like it’s reading your foot rather than responding to a switch, the handpieces lift out of their holders without that annoying snag where the tubing catches, and the light follows your hand without you having to reposition it. This is our premium adult unit, and I designed it for the dentist who’s been practicing long enough to know exactly where their last chair fell short.

The patient chair has a 180 kg weight capacity and a seat height range of 420 mm to 850 mm—lower minimum than the 3000 because elderly patients with limited mobility shouldn’t have to climb. The positioning is fully programmable: four memory presets for entry, exit, rinse, and a custom working position. The motor is a brushless DC unit with soft-start and soft-stop, so there’s no jerking when the chair begins to move. The upholstery is high-density memory foam with an antimicrobial PVC outer layer, available in eight colors, with optional leather upgrade. The armrests are independently adjustable in height and angle, and the right armrest swings away completely for wheelchair transfer—a feature I added after watching a clinic struggle to transfer a hemiplegic patient for twenty minutes.

The delivery system is our most refined: a ceiling-mounted or chair-mounted option, four handpiece positions with electronic speed control and digital pressure display, independent water and air metering, and a heated water system that maintains 37°C at the handpiece. The control interface is a 7-inch touchscreen—I know I’ve criticized touchscreens on our other models, but on the 6600 the software is stable and the screen is positioned where you can actually see it without contorting your neck. It displays handpiece speed, water temperature, chair position, and timer, and you can cycle through functions with simple swipe gestures that work even with gloved fingers. The assistant’s unit includes a dedicated HVE with variable suction, a saliva ejector, a three-way syringe, and a curing light port.

The operating light is our surgical-grade LED: 60,000-90,000 lux with a color temperature of 5000K and a CRI of 95. It produces a shadow-free field across a 150 mm spot, with an automatic sensor that adjusts intensity when you move from facial to intraoral distance. The cuspidor is ceramic—same as the 3000—but with an automatic sensor that activates the flush and cup filler without you touching anything. The entire unit sits on a low-profile cast aluminum base with a cable management channel that actually keeps the cords organized instead of just hiding them under a plastic cover that falls off.

If your practice generates revenue from implants, cosmetic dentistry, or complex restorative cases that demand precision and patient comfort in equal measure, the AM-6600 is the unit I’d put in your main operatory. I keep limited stock of the 6600 in Shanghai—contact me through the form below and I’ll give you current availability and a detailed comparison against the 3000 for your specific procedure mix.
