Every nursing home has that one nurse with a bad back who limps through half her shift because transferring residents from bed to stretcher shouldn’t require a team of four and a chiropractor on speed dial. The AM-BP03 transfer sheet solves the most boring, most common problem in patient handling: moving someone horizontally from one surface to another without pulling, twisting, or dropping them. It’s not glamorous. It’s a reinforced fabric sheet with ten foldable handles and a load rating of 150 kg. But it works every time, and it costs less than the overtime you’re paying staff to do the same job manually.

The sheet itself is heavy-duty nylon with double-stitched seams and reinforced handle attachment points. Each of the ten handles folds flat against the sheet body for storage—no rigid parts poking through the carry bag. When you need it, the handles pop out, you position the sheet under the patient during routine bedding changes or admission processing, and two caregivers can execute a smooth lateral transfer in about fifteen seconds. No sliding boards, no friction burns, no awkward reaches across a bed gap.

The carry bag is compact at 38 x 50 x 42 cm and weighs just 11 kg for a pack of ten units. We designed it this way because procurement departments tend to order these in multiples—one for each ward, one for transport, a spare for when the first one is in the wash. And yes, you can wash it. Hot water, standard detergent, hang to dry. No special cleaning protocols, no disposable parts to reorder. The nylon fabric holds up to industrial laundry cycles and won’t delaminate or fray at the handle seams after repeated use.

One thing I want to emphasize: the BP03 is not a lifting device. It’s designed specifically for horizontal transfers between two surfaces at approximately the same height—bed to gurney, gurney to OR table, that kind of thing. The handles are positioned for sliding, not lifting. If you need vertical lift capability, you need a different product. But for the horizontal transfer use case that happens fifty times a day in a busy hospital, this is the tool that does it without drama.

I’ve seen these go into small community hospitals in rural Henan where the budget for patient transfer equipment is basically zero, but they still need to move patients from the ER gurney to the ward bed without injuring anyone. The AM-BP03 isn’t going to win design awards, but it’s going to keep working for years while the expensive electric transfer systems are waiting on replacement parts. Sometimes the best tool is the one that doesn’t need a manual.

If your facility moves patients between surfaces more than five times a day—and I’m guessing it’s a lot more than that—get in touch. I’ll tell you honestly whether the BP03 is right for your setup or whether you need something different entirely.
