Twelve patterns. That’s how many I ended up with after the initial five-design test run sold out in three weeks. The AM-FS938L started as a small experiment—I wanted to see whether walking stick users would pay a modest premium for a cane that looked like something they’d actually choose, rather than something they settled for. The answer, it turned out, was a very emphatic yes. The 938L is now our broadest product line in terms of aesthetic variety: floral prints, geometric patterns, solid colors with subtle metallic finishes, and seasonal designs that rotate every six months. The underlying cane is the same across all variants—lightweight aluminum, soft-touch T-handle, 74 cm to 97 cm adjustable—but the visual identity of each SKU is distinct enough that retailers can merchandise them as individual products rather than one product in twelve colors.
The shaft is 6061 aluminum, 22 mm diameter, with a decorative layer applied through a dye-sublimation process that bonds the pattern into the anodized surface. The finish is smooth to the touch—not a wrap or a sticker—and it resists scratching and fading under normal use. The twelve current patterns include: Cherry Blossom (pale pink on white), Midnight Garden (dark floral on navy), Art Deco (geometric gold lines on black), Lavender Fields (purple floral on cream), Forest Canopy (leaf pattern on green), Sunset Ombre (gradient orange-to-pink), Classic Stripes (navy and white), Polka Dot (black on red), Marble (gray-on-white swirl), Ocean Wave (blue abstract), Rose Gold (solid metallic), and Matte Charcoal (solid matte dark gray). The patterns rotate seasonally—I typically introduce two new designs each spring and fall, retiring the two slowest sellers.
The T-handle is thermoplastic rubber with a micro-textured surface, contoured for palm support. Total weight is 370 grams—one of our lightest models—and weight capacity is 120 kg. The rubber tip is 19 mm, internally reinforced, replaceable. At 370 grams, this is a balance-support cane rather than a weight-bearing cane; if you need significant weight-bearing support, I’d recommend one of our quad models instead.
For retailers: the 938L ships in display-ready individual boxes with a die-cut window showing the pattern. Minimum order is typically twelve units (one of each pattern), but I can do mixed cases of your best-selling patterns once we’ve established your market. The packaging is designed for pharmacy shelf display—upright orientation, visible product, compact footprint—because I know retail shelf space is expensive and a box that takes up twice the necessary footprint is a box that gets delisted.
