The first time I saw someone use a seat cane was at the Shanghai Museum—an elderly man unfolded it into a small tripod stool, sat down in the middle of a gallery, rested for five minutes, folded it back into a cane, and continued his tour. Nobody stared. Nobody asked if he was okay. He simply solved his own problem without needing a bench to appear. That’s the AM-FS911L in its essence: a walking cane that becomes a seat the moment you need one, and goes back to being a cane the moment you don’t. For anyone whose energy, balance, or pain levels fluctuate throughout the day—and honestly, that’s most people over sixty—this design changes the equation of what you can do outside your home.

The folding mechanism is the heart of the design. The seat component consists of three aluminum legs that deploy from the main shaft when you release a spring-loaded latch. The seat surface is a reinforced nylon fabric panel that spans between the legs, creating a tripod stool stable on most surfaces. The whole deployment takes about three seconds once you learn the motion—pull the latch, swing the legs outward until they lock, and sit. To fold, you reverse the motion. No tools, no fiddling with small parts, no risk of the mechanism collapsing while you’re seated because the legs lock into place mechanically, not frictionally.

The cane itself is a standard walking aid with an ergonomic T-handle grip, height adjustable from 82 cm to 92 cm. The shaft is 22 mm aluminum alloy, and the total weight of the cane with the seat mechanism is 920 grams—heavier than a standard walking stick, which is the trade-off for the seating function. Weight capacity for the walking function is 120 kg; weight capacity for the seat function is 110 kg. The seat height when deployed is approximately 48 cm, which positions most adults at a comfortable sitting angle with feet flat on the ground.

I’ve sold these to garden enthusiasts who need rest breaks during long walks through botanical gardens, to grandparents who take their grandchildren to the park and need somewhere to sit that isn’t a damp bench, to travelers navigating airports with long corridors and unpredictable seating availability. The use cases are as varied as the people who use them, but the common thread is the same: a seat that’s always with you.

If you need a mobility aid that doubles as a rest stop, the 911L is the model I’d recommend. Contact me for pricing—single units, retail packs, or bulk wholesale orders.
