The AM-850 is our mid-range anesthesia workhorse — four independent flowmeters for O2, N2O, and air, an integrated ventilator with volume and pressure modes, and a compact CO2 absorption system that keeps the circuit closed and efficient. I designed this machine for hospitals that run four to eight ORs daily with a mix of general surgery, orthopedics, and obstetrics — not the university hospital with a dedicated cardiac anesthesia team, but the regional center where the same machine needs to handle a C-section at 10 AM and a laparoscopic cholecystectomy at noon.
