Maximum lux is only one part of a surgical-light decision. Compare the light field, shadow management, color rendering, camera options, installation conditions, service coverage, and model-specific documentation together.

KDLED700/700 DX: a dual-head reference configuration for projects that value two large light heads and a configuration-based quotation.
Mindray HyLED 7: a published product platform with 160,000/130,000 lux options, adjustable light-field diameter, up to 1,200 mm illumination depth, and an optional integrated HD/FHD camera.
KLS Martin marLED: a premium family focused on color rendering, variable color temperature, light-field control, and intuitive operation. The X series adds active shadow management and individually actuated LEDs.

Is illuminance measured at the same distance and under the same test method?

Can the ceiling structure support the complete arm and light-head load?
Is the camera included, optional, or a separate video system?
What is included in installation, balancing, commissioning, and training?
Which documents are available for the exact model and destination market?

Which option fits which operating room?

General surgery

Prioritize a stable light field, easy positioning, sterile handle operation, cleaning access, and consistent illumination when staff or equipment interrupts the beam.

Deep-cavity and multidisciplinary surgery

A dual 700/700 configuration may be useful when the second surgeon needs meaningful illumination. Confirm the actual KDLED700/700 DX configuration rather than assuming the name describes the final build.

Teaching and video-enabled ORs

Camera resolution, output format, recording workflow, and integration with the existing display and storage system may matter more than the lamp headline specification.

Day and minor surgery

For smaller rooms or mobile use, a compact configuration may be more appropriate. Mindray officially positions HyLED 600 for day/minor surgery; it should not be confused with the higher-positioned HyLED 7 reference used here.
