Lighting is everything in grooming. You cannot trim what you cannot see, and most grooming spaces — even nice ones — have overhead lighting that casts shadows exactly where you are trying to work: under the belly, around the face, between the legs, along the flank where the coat lies flat and the line between too much and too little is measured in millimeters. The AM-M is our medium electric grooming table with integrated LED lighting, and the lighting is not a bonus feature tacked onto the spec sheet. It is the reason the table exists.
The LED strip runs along the perimeter of the table, casting light upward and inward toward the work surface. The angle is the thing that matters — it was not chosen at random. When light comes from below and the sides, it fills the shadows that overhead fixtures create when the groomer leans over the dog. You know the problem: you are working on the underline, your own body is blocking the ceiling lights, and suddenly you are guessing at the coat length. The AM-M’s perimeter lighting eliminates that blind spot. The light is cool white, around 5000K, which gives accurate color rendering so you can see coat texture, skin condition, matting that is hiding, and blade lines clearly. No buzzing, no flickering, no heat buildup that would make a dog uncomfortable during a long grooming session. Just clean, consistent light across the entire work surface.
The tabletop itself is medium-sized — large enough for most breeds from a Shih Tzu up to a Cocker Spaniel or small terrier, but not so big that you are chasing the dog around an oversized platform while it figures out that it can walk away from you. The surface is non-slip, so the dog feels secure underfoot, which cuts down on the nervous dancing that makes grooming take twice as long. It is easy to sanitize between clients — spray, wipe, next dog — and designed to handle the daily cycle of water, shampoo residue, leave-in conditioner, and disinfectant that a grooming table endures. The edges are rounded. No sharp corners for a dog to catch a paw on while stepping up, and no right angles for the groomer to bump a hip into while moving around the table.
Electric height adjustment is controlled by a foot pedal, which matters when both hands are holding a dog and a pair of shears. Range runs from about 48 centimeters at the low end up to 98 centimeters, letting the groomer work at the height that protects their back — lower for large dogs you need to reach across, higher for small dogs where you want the detail work closer to eye level. The motor handles 36 kilograms of load, which covers the overwhelming majority of grooming clients without strain.
This is the table I recommend for grooming businesses that have outgrown their manual folding table but are not ready to invest in the top-tier models.
