I’ve watched anesthesiologists work in ORs across three continents, and the thing that separates a good machine from one that creates friction is how much mental bandwidth it steals. Every button press, every menu dive, every parameter that isn’t where you expect it—that’s attention taken away from the patient. The AM-01 is designed around one principle: the anesthesiologist should be watching the patient, not wrestling with the machine.
The AM-01 is our premium anesthesia workstation built around a pneumatically driven, electrically controlled architecture. The gas delivery system uses dual flowmeters for oxygen and nitrous oxide, each with precise control from 0.1 to 10 liters per minute. The oxygen flush delivers 25 to 75 liters per minute—enough to rapidly refill the breathing circuit when a desaturation event demands immediate intervention. Two vaporizer positions accommodate enflurane, isoflurane, or sevoflurane, with halothane as an optional configuration, and the vaporizer setting range of 0.5% to 5% gives you the precision needed for both induction and maintenance across the entire case.
The integrated ventilator runs four modes: A/C, IPPV, SIPPV, and MANUAL. This covers the ventilation needs of adult and pediatric patients across closed, semi-closed, and semi-open circuit configurations. Tidal volume adjusts from 50 to 1500 ml, respiration frequency from 4 to 40 breaths per minute, and the I/E ratio from 1:1.5 to 1:3.0. The LED display provides clear readouts of all ventilation parameters, including airway pressure, tidal volume, minute ventilation, and frequency—the data points an anesthesiologist actually references during a case rather than a scrolling menu of values you’ll never need.
The AM-01 is positioned for general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and any procedure requiring controlled ventilation under general anesthesia. It’s not the stripped-down AM-01D with its single vaporizer and manual ventilation emphasis for small clinics and veterinary practices, and it’s not the upgraded AM-01B with its four-tube flowmeter and extended mode selection. The AM-01 is the balanced premium option in our lineup—full ventilator integration, reliable gas delivery, and a straightforward interface that doesn’t demand a training course to operate.
If your OR runs cases ranging from laparoscopic cholecystectomies to total hip replacements and you need an anesthesia workstation that just works—no drama, no learning curve, no feature bloat—the AM-01 deserves a spot on your evaluation list. I’m Linjian Xiao. Reach out and I’ll walk you through how it compares to the AM-01B and AM-01D so you can spec the right machine for your surgical volume.
